These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your engagement with BlackBox Media, a DBA of Think Big Marketing, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating from Laredo, Texas. By booking a session, ordering prints, or using our website at blackbox-media.com, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
BlackBox Media provides professional photography services including sports event coverage, athlete portraits, headshots, weddings, quinceañeras, and seasonal mini sessions. Specific deliverables, locations, dates, and pricing for each engagement are confirmed in writing prior to the session.
2. Booking and Payment
Sessions are reserved upon confirmation and payment of the applicable fee or deposit. Online bookings made through blackbox-media.com are processed via Stripe. Mini sessions require full payment at the time of booking. Full-day events (weddings, quinceañeras) typically require a non-refundable 50% retainer to reserve the date, with the balance due on or before the session date. Specific payment terms for each engagement are confirmed at booking.
3. Cancellations, Refunds, and Rescheduling
Cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.
4. Image Rights and Use
BlackBox Media retains the copyright to all photographs and graphic works produced. Upon final payment, the client receives a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the delivered images for personal, non-commercial purposes — including printing, sharing on social media, and personal display.
Commercial use, resale, or use by third parties (including advertising agencies, brands, publications, recruiting services, and booster organizations) requires a separate written licensing agreement.
BlackBox Media reserves the right to use delivered images and behind-the-scenes content for portfolio, promotional, and marketing purposes unless the client explicitly opts out in writing prior to the session. For minors, image-use opt-outs may be requested by a parent or legal guardian.
5. Delivery
Edited digital images are delivered through an online proofing gallery. Standard turnaround times:
- Mini sessions and headshots: within 2 weeks of the session
- Portrait and sports event coverage: 2-3 weeks
- Weddings and quinceañeras: 4-6 weeks
Physical prints are produced via professional print labs and shipped directly to the client; turnaround time varies by product. Specific turnaround commitments are confirmed at booking.
6. Weather, Illness, and Force Majeure
Sessions affected by severe weather, photographer illness, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control will be rescheduled at no additional cost. We will work in good faith with the client to find a mutually acceptable rescheduled date.
7. Client Conduct
We reserve the right to terminate a session at our sole discretion in the event of unsafe behavior, harassment of staff, or material breach of these Terms. Termination under this section does not entitle the client to a refund.
8. Liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or from services rendered is limited to the total amount paid by the client for the specific session or product giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from services rendered will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Webb County, Texas.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through our website. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Mobile Messaging
If you opt in to BlackBox Media’s SMS program at booking, you agree to receive automated, recurring text messages related to your booking, including confirmations, reminders, cancellations, and rescheduling notices. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of booking any service. Message frequency varies and is typically 1-3 messages per booking. Message and data rates may apply.
